By accessing or using the Site, submitting an inquiry or requesting an estimate or consultation through the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. About Green Star Remodeling

Green Star Remodeling provides residential construction, renovation and remodeling services. Depending on the project, these services may include:

Specific services are offered only where permitted by applicable laws, licensing requirements, service-area limitations and project conditions.

Certain portions of a project may be performed by appropriately licensed subcontractors, suppliers, designers, engineers or other professionals when necessary or appropriate.

Green Star Remodeling identifies itself on the Site as California contractor license number 1088206. Consumers should independently verify the current status, classification and limitations of any contractor license through the California Contractors State License Board before entering into a construction agreement.

2. Website Information Only

The information presented on the Site is provided for general informational and promotional purposes.

Website content does not constitute:

• Create a binding home-improvement contract
• Guarantee that Green Star Remodeling will accept the project
• Reserve a particular appointment or construction date
• Guarantee project eligibility, availability, price or completion time
• Authorize construction work to begin

We may contact you to obtain additional information, discuss the project or arrange a site visit.

An estimate based only on photographs, telephone discussions, website submissions or preliminary information may change following an inspection, measurement, design review, engineering review, permit review or discovery of previously unknown conditions.

5. Separate Written Project Agreement

Every accepted project will be governed by a separate written agreement signed by the applicable parties before construction work begins.

Depending on the project and applicable law, the written agreement may address:

• The identity and license information of the contractor
• Property and customer information
• Detailed scope of work
• Plans, drawings and specifications
• Materials, fixtures and finishes
• Contract price
• Deposit and progress-payment schedule
• Estimated start and completion dates
• Permits and inspections
• Change orders

• Delays and unforeseen conditions
• Warranties
• Insurance
• Dispute-resolution procedures

California requires qualifying home-improvement contracts and subsequent change orders to be in writing and to contain specified consumer notices and terms.

These website Terms are not a home-improvement contract and do not replace any notice, disclosure or agreement required by California law.

If a signed project agreement conflicts with these Terms regarding construction services, the signed project agreement will control to the extent of that conflict.

6. Estimates, Pricing and Project Changes

Unless expressly stated in a signed agreement, website descriptions, preliminary discussions and informal estimates are not final prices.

Project pricing may change because of:

• Changes in project scope
• Customer-requested upgrades or substitutions
• Material or labor availability
• Price changes from suppliers
• Permit or inspection requirements
• Engineering or architectural requirements
• Code-compliance work
• Hazardous or concealed conditions
• Structural or water damage
• Electrical, plumbing, roofing or foundation conditions
• Inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the customer
• Other conditions that could not reasonably be confirmed during the preliminary evaluation

Any change to a signed construction contract will be handled through the procedures required by the project agreement and applicable law, including written change orders where required.

7. Deposits and Payments

Deposits, progress payments, final payments, financing terms and accepted payment methods will be stated in the applicable written project agreement.

Nothing on the Site authorizes Green Star Remodeling to charge you or requires you to make payment unless you separately agree to a valid transaction or written project agreement.

California law restricts deposits and requires detailed payment schedules for many home-improvement contracts. CSLB explains that, subject to limited exceptions, a home-improvement down payment may not exceed $1,000 or 10% of the contract price, whichever is less.

Do not send payment details through a general Site contact form unless the form expressly instructs you to do so through an approved secure payment method.

8. Permits, Approvals and Third-Party Professionals

Certain projects may require permits, plans, engineering, architectural services, inspections, homeowners’ association approval, utility approval or other third-party involvement.

Responsibility for obtaining permits and approvals will be addressed in the written project agreement.

No statement on the Site guarantees that:

• A permit will be issued
• A project will be approved
• A particular design will comply with all codes
• A homeowners’ association will approve a project
• An accessory dwelling unit or garage conversion will be legally feasible on a specific property
• A project will qualify for financing, rebates or incentives

Users remain responsible for providing accurate information about property ownership, restrictions and existing conditions.

9. Customer-Submitted Information and Materials

You may opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe method included in the message. You may opt out of applicable text messages by replying STOP.

11. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content, including text, graphics, photographs, videos, logos, icons, layouts, designs, software and other materials, are owned by Green Star Remodeling, licensed to us or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. It also does not replace or modify liability provisions contained in a separately signed project agreement.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive any non-waivable consumer right or remedy.

17. Indemnification for Misuse of the Site

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Green Star Remodeling and its officers, employees and representatives harmless from third-party claims arising from:

• Your unlawful misuse of the Site
• Your intentional violation of these Terms
• Information or materials you submit without authority
• Your infringement of another person’s rights

This section does not require you to indemnify Green Star Remodeling for its own unlawful conduct, negligence or breach of an applicable agreement.

18. California Consumer Rights

California consumers may verify a contractor’s license and obtain consumer information through the California Contractors State License Board. CSLB advises homeowners to use appropriately licensed contractors and to confirm license status before contracting.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and use of the Site are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute concerning only the use of the Site will be handled in a court having proper jurisdiction, subject to any applicable law.

Disputes concerning an actual remodeling or construction project will be governed by the dispute-resolution provisions, if any, in the applicable signed project agreement and by applicable California law.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our Site, practices or legal obligations.

The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.

Changes will apply prospectively from the date they are posted. Changes to these website Terms will not retroactively alter a signed project agreement unless the parties separately agree in writing.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

22. No Waiver

A failure by Green Star Remodeling to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive the right to enforce that provision later.

23. Entire Agreement Regarding the Site

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the agreement between you and Green Star Remodeling concerning use of the Site.

They do not replace any separately signed estimate, proposal, financing agreement, design agreement, home-improvement contract, change order, warranty or other project document.
